WHY A COOLING SYSTEM PRESSURE TEST IS PERFORMED

PRESSURE TESTING IS USED TO TEST FOR LEAKS IN THE COOLING SYSTEM.. IT'S DONE BY HOOKING UP TO THE RADIATOR RESIVOR OR TO THE SURGE TANK WHICH IS PRESSURIZED (WARNING DO NOT OPEN THE SURGE TANK CAP OR THE RADIATOR CAP WHENEVER THE ENGINE HAS BEEN RUNNING FOR MORE THEN 2 MINUTES) PRESSURE TESTING IS THE COST EFFECTIVE WAY OF DIAGNOSING A COOLING SYSTEM PROBLEM BECAUSE IT GETS RIGHT TO THE ISSUE IF THERE IS ONE WITHIN THE RADIATOR OR COOLING LINES BECAUSE WE CAN HEAR THE ISSUES WITHOUT THE ENGINE GOING
